Highlights:
Guest Presentation. Guest Ashley Perkins, Vice Speaker of the House, ASRT, gave a presentation via Zoom on the ASRT whitepaper: 2024 Consensus Committee on the Future of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
Officer Reports:
President Ashley Willner shared her report on the ASRT Affiliate Development Program and the quarterly ASRT Affiliate Leader Meeting. The OSRT was approved for participation in the 2025 Affiliation Development Program, by which the ASRT promotes affiliate growth through training, resources, and targeted funding. The OSRT board identified increasing membership, updating the website, and increasing social media presence as the focus areas.
A Treasurer Report was shared by Brooklynn Dowd summarizing the internal audit performed on FY24 financials by the Finance Committee.
Executive Administrator. Andrea Adamson shared the Financial Reports as of December 31, 2024, including the Statement of Financial Position, Budget vs Actual and the Statement of Activity.
Committee Reports
Student Action Committee. Chair Brooklynn Dowd announced the new Student Board Member (Jessica Traffas of PCC) and Student Liaisons (Jessica Traffas of PCC, Brett Sandgren of LBCC, and Tia Lardizabal of OIT) as well as the 2025 ASRT SLDP participants: Emma Veuleman (LBCC), Gabriella Shlyakhover (PCC), and Rebecca Thatch (PCC).
Last year’s SLDP participants, Callie Brown and Coleen McMahon, shared a presentation on their student experience of SLDP.
Legislative Affairs Committee. Steven recommended checking out the ASRT tracking map which highlights states with current legislation issues. Oregon HB2697, which addresses staffing requirements at hospitals, is an example. Details on the bill can be found at Oregonlegislature.gov.
Social Media Outreach/Digital Publications Committee. Chair Taylor Balfour shared the Social & Digital Media Committee Report. Data collected shows the 2024 Rad Tech Week social media posts increased engagement by 400%
Education Committee. Chair Abbie Berman shared the Education Committee report. The CQR Library/package remains incomplete. Video presentations on common CQR topics are needed - could be very short. Abbie will be stepping down as Ed Chair in April.
